My name is Guy Moyer, (http://guy.ceo) I'm the CEO of the non-profit MAEGIC, Ltd. and the for-profit Cre8ive Productions, Sales & Service, Inc. which is currently providing all the development for the MAEGIC framerwork. So what is MAEGIC? Well it's an acronym for some of the most innovative Tech companies I'm hoping to unite through a cooperative to collaborate on solving our issues but the vision for it started back in the late 90's when I was working for a metal fabrication company. We were installing some ventilation pipe and I noticed there was only one guy running around the plant operating all the machinery. When we came down from the rafters, I asked if his crew was on strike and he responded by saying that it took only him and his business partner to run the entire plant. It was a fairly large plant too, these guys had automated almost every aspect of their manufacturing process so they could handle everything themselves. It was impressive and terrifying at the same time.

That experience had a pretty big impact on my life, I started to obsess about what would happen to the economy if Technology took over most of our workforce. At the time, nobody was concerned about it at all so I sounded like a crazy person but not so much anymore considering how fast AI and advanced robotics are evolving. So what exactly is my plan for this transition into an automated economy? Well I don't have all the answers so I can't answer that but what I do have is a pride in my ability to surround myself with people that are smarter than I am and I also have faith. As a former atheist, I know how uncomfortable saying that can make people feel but I spent most of my 20's trying to control things and it never seemed to work out how I planned. The funny part is, things usually work out for the better as if there is some sort of master plan to this whole life thing. One example that's relevant to MAEGIC is back when my ISP pulled the block of IP addresses they assigned to me, it forced me to rethink my code. I initially intended for MAEGIC to be a hosted web service but I couldn't scale the network without the block and I dreaded the thought of driving to and from data centers again so I started to think about decentralization. Back then the idea of it wasn't as popular as it is now but decentralization has the potential to create income for people and that's mainly what I'm trying to do.

Now as far as income generation goes, I have a lot of ideas on how to create it for people but the first thing I need to develop is an accounting/ledger system to handle everything. I've had a taste of success multiple times in my life and the main thing that I hate about it is all the accounting I become responsible for so this is a priority core component of MAEGIC. Cryptocurrency has the potential to solve not only most of my accounting system worries but also provide a way to generate an income for people. My journey into cryptos started back after Bitcoin launched but I thought the idea of everyone on the planet hosting the same ledger was impractical so I regrettably deleted my wallet after mining for a couple months. I got back into the whole cryptocurrency thing after Ethereum started to generate quite a bit of interest, I ended up building multi GPU rigs and turned my house into an oven. My electric bill got up to over $900/mo but I was making more than it cost me to mine so that kept my interest for awhile. Then one day as I was cutting a big hole into the side of my house to vent the heat out, I started to question my sanity. This led me to believe that there had to be a better way to validate the network so I gave up on Ethereum.

After doing some research, I really liked the idea of a storage based cyrptocurrency because this would lay the framework for a decentralized hosting service which is another income generation idea I have for people. The only option at the time after giving up on Ethereum was Burst so I got involved in that community for several months. The community was divided though and the main developer seemed to be all over the place so I gave up on that project as well. There are currently several different storage based cryptocurrency projects that I find interesting so I'll determine which is the most ideal project to start with when the time comes to start itegrating my L2 on top of an L1. Parts of this idea still keep changing but the premise of it is to localize chains so everyone on the planet doesn't have to host the same ledger, this is the location proof of PoLICE protocol.
